Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Scene about using Scene. When you start using Scene, you're asked to agree to these terms. You agree by tapping "I'm 13 or older, and I agree". If these terms change in a way that matters, you're asked again.

Using Scene

  • Age: you must be at least 13, or the minimum age where you live, and old enough there to agree to these terms.
  • Access: Scene is invite-only for now. Access can be granted or withheld at our discretion.
  • Your account: keep your sign-in safe; you're responsible for what happens through your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post: ratings, notes, lists, comments, your profile, and anything else. You give Scene permission to store it and show it to the people your settings allow, for as long as it's on Scene. When you delete something, or your account, it's removed as described in the privacy policy.

You're responsible for what you post, and you agree not to post anything that's illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or that infringes someone else's rights, and not to spam, impersonate anyone, or spoil movies for others without marking it as a spoiler.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Scene.

  • Filtering: Scene refuses slurs in notes, comments, bios, and list names and notes.
  • Reporting: you can report any note, comment, or member.
  • Blocking: you can block anyone.
  • Acting on reports: we aim to review reports within 24 hours, and we remove content and suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, or to protect Scene or its members.

Scene as it is

Scene is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. Predictions, recommendations, and movie and TV show information may be wrong. To the extent the law allows, Scene isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Scene.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, Scene will tell you in the app before the change applies.
